5/7/22, Just after 12:30 PM, the New Haven Fire Department received a call for a reported chimney fire on Cove Street. Engine 16 who is housed just down the street, arrived first and stated they had flames from the chimney. A working fire was transmitted and firefighters were able to knock the small fire in the chimney. Firefighters were on scene for about a half hour before declaring the fire under control.
